Senior Business Development Consultant  

Our client, a provider of Human Resources consulting services, is seeking a team-oriented Senior Business Development Consultant for the Toronto office, reporting to the Vice President, Business Development.  The successful candidate has a track record of exceeding sales targets in the Professional Services category (preferably in Human Resources), and identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities at the executive level.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes account strategies for the sale of strategic HR consulting opportunities, territory plans and long-term, cross functional client relationships through continuous prospecting, cold calling, and account management within assigned territory.

  • Builds and sustains committed client relationships at all levels within organizations.

  • Understands business issues relevant to clients and is capable of engaging clients in meaningful dialogue.

  • Facilitates client meetings and presents customized client solutions.

  • Makes product and solution presentations to individuals and groups.

  • Makes accurate forecasts based on deep knowledge of clients.

Qualifications:

  • A University Degree in Business or Human Resources would be an asset.

Chief Financial Officer - FILLED

Our client, a fast growing Ottawa based company that is developing and delivering advanced products in the energy field for its growing global markets, has an immediate requirement for a Chief Financial Officer to provide finance leadership.

Job Duties:

Reporting to the President/CEO, the successful candidate will take on a strategic leadership role within the organization and will be the corporate prime for debt and equity relations, as well as governance, audit and internal reporting and controls. The Chief Financial Officer assumes the lead on all legal agreements related to financing, as well as negotiations and reviews, financial reporting and tax planning.

A dynamic leader who welcomes new challenges and enjoys working closely with the President & executive team to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will oversee Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Legal and IT areas.

Requirements:

  • A successful professional with a minimum of five years experience working at a CFO/VP of Finance level, accompanied with a finance designation (CA, CGA, CMA).  10 or more years of experience in high tech manufacturing considered an asset; experience in software, telecom and energy sectors also valued.

  • Experience in a  financial leadership role including VC's, banking, government financing and mergers & acquisitions, as well as solid performance track record in such areas as tax planning, financial reporting, reviewing and implementing contracts and negotiating.

  • A dynamic leader with demonstrated interpersonal savvy and influence through the ability to work effectively with others and build strong relationships with a variety of stake holders, senior managers, department leaders and Board members.

  • Sound understanding of financial, strategic and performance management processes combined with a proven ability to embrace and lead change and fluent skill in communicating (oral presentation, written documentation).
