Manager of Compensation, Kingston, Ontario

Our client, a national company specializing in financial security and wealth management, has an immediate opening for a Manager of Compensation in Kingston, Ontario.  Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards & Business Systems, the successful candidate will lead the analysis, implementation and administration of compensation, benefits and Total Reward programs.  

Job Functions: 

  • Conduct appropriate internal and external workforce research 
  • Perform necessary calculations and coordination for individual pension plan member terminations and related processes and documentation
  • Monitor competitive trends in compensation
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements in metrics to improve forecasting and reporting using technology tools effectively
  • Assist in providing coaching/mentoring to junior Total Rewards Analyst

  

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a university degree in business or economics
  • 3 – 5 years work experience in human resources with direct exposure to compensation, pension and benefit program administration
  • Experience with trend analysis and forecasting
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and presentation software
  • Advanced knowledge of Pay Equity practices and industry issues and trends
  • CHRP an asset
  • Working towards CMS certification

Regional Sales Manager, Canada

Our client, a provider of end-to-end spatial data solutions headquartered in Ottawa, is hiring nationally to fill the role of Regional Sales Manager.  These newly-created positions are open for Eastern, Central and Western Canada.  Reporting to the Director of Sales in Ottawa, the successful candidates will generate revenue within the assigned territories while demonstrating strong solution selling and developing client relationships.  The work location is flexible.

Job Duties:

  • Sell spatial data solutions that meet client business requirements through long-term client relationships at all levels within targeted markets.
  • Maintain a sales area based on geography, vertical markets or customer segmentation.
  • Develop and maintain account plans for strategic accounts.
  • Prepare proposals, letters, bid documents, executive summaries as required.
  • Deliver client and industry presentations to develop market awareness of the company’s products and services
  • Work collaboratively with internal resources to ensure customer project timelines and objectives are clearly identified and achieved.
  • Maintain pertinent industry memberships to build company reputation and market awareness.
  • Maintain weekly, monthly and annual reports, forecasts and performance indicators to track and analyze sales results to ensure achievement of quarterly revenue targets.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five year’s experience in solution selling along with established contacts in the mining, gas and oil, transportation, utilities and environment sectors.
  • An understanding of LIDAR, Geomatics, GIS or the Earth Science industry is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven relationship-building and presentation skills.
  • Formal training in solution selling is an asset.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office software applications and CRM tools.
  • A highly organized and pro-active self-starter who has strong business acumen.
  • Ability to travel, must own a vehicle and have a valid drivers license.
  • For the Quebec territory, bilingualism is mandatory.
